Each cryptocurrency or Token represents power with in each blockchain that it represents. So buying the token or currency essentially means you are owning a piece of real estate of that platform. It's similar to buying a share of the internet back in the 90s. But in this situation, there are 2000 different Internets and you have to figure out which one will be successful.
