Just like other some of the big other banks Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) which is one of the largest banks in North America has announced that customers will not be able to purchase cryptocurrency with credit cards. This new decision was published on Feb. 23
Toronto-Dominion Bank is now in the list of the banks which banned purchasing cryptocurrency with credit cards. Other banks are also big players of international banking industry. Some of them are J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citigroup in USA. In UK Lloyds Banking Group and Virgin Money. Virgin also applied this rules in Australia, South Africa. At passed 6 th of FEB Citybank also announced that they have stopped their support on purchase cryptocurrency with credit cards or debit cards.

Bu açıklamayla kripto-para alımına kredi kartı ile imkan tanımayan bankalar listesine giren Toronto-Dominion Bank gibi birçok banka da yakın zamanda benzer eylemde bulunmuştu. Nitekim Virgin bu uygulamayı Avustralya, Güney Afrika da da başlattı. Geçtiğimiz 6 şubatta ise Citybank’da kredi kartı ve hesap kartlar ile kripto-para alışverişini durdurduğunu açıklamıştı.
