Yes indeed, SALT is essentially offering loans at a deep discount when you use the SALT tokens to repay the loan. I think this is a great marketing strategy and good for SALT investors. The free market through arbitrage will bring the SALT token prices on the exchanges up closer to the retail price.
I do not expect the deep discount to last long into 2018.
