The US are protecting cryptponians!!
According to a link on collective evolution, the U.S. released a new law:
U.S. Congress members are drafting a new bill that will protect cryptocurrencies from government interference, while simultaneously ensuring that users meet minimum requirements to prevent these currencies from being used by criminals.
The bill is aimed at preventing cryptocurrency from being considered as “a form of security or an investment,” from being taxed, and from federal government interference.
That means, the US Government is going to protect this new form of money. I mean, if the government is going with it, isn't it time for you to join? I don't know, so no worries if you don't. But seriously, I see cryptocurrencies having a bright future.

government finally realized they can't control cryptocurrency.. therefore they turned into "if you can't beat them, then join them" policy.

It's a draft... wouldn't get my hopes up until it's actually signed. I can imagine it could be said as a publicity stunt to cater to certain voters. Wether it will pass and become actual law depends on wether or not it gets voted in. It sounds like a good law, but without more details you can never be sure about what fine print there will be (like giving up your privacy)
Thats true, thanks for the comment. They will try to fight it, and there might be some big crashes for crypto in the future, but I think long term it is going to be the future. But it's always good to stay alert with laws.. cheers
That is the first step. At least they are recognizing that it is emerging. I keep seeing more and more positive things every day about the cryptocurrency market. I think 2018 will be a good year.
