It's been 1 year and 4 months since I applied the best trading strategy from a hodler perspective. Let's see how the portfolio rebalancing is working thus far.
I picked NEO, BTC, ETH, XMR, LTC and assigned 20% each. Most of the time the rebalancing frequency was set to 3 days, turned to 7 days for the past 2 months. Below is the initial portfolio before the experiment.
This is what how much the same profile is going to worth if I were to hold it all the way without re-balancing.
And this is what the actual portfolio now.
That's right. $1276 vs $1148, about $120 down with the rebalancing technique applied. Is this technique a failure? It surely is as of now. The recent bull market for BTC has bring down most of the altcoins which translate to a much higher BTC dominance. While the initial portfolio everything is quite stable and harmony without super huge market movement, I believe the rebalanced portfolio is going to worth more when the market has stabilized eventually where no obvious bull or bear trending.
i am sure Litecoin will go up again before halving. After halving for 1 month, i think you should sell some of it and book the profits :D
