With the strong job numbers and Fed Chairman Powell remark on the interest rate, the S&P added 84 points or 3.4%. On the other side, Apple had a rough week coming into 2019. The year of 2019 is the year of capital preservation. The investors need to closely monitor the market and react accordingly. The HODL strategy will no longer be effective for both equity and crypto market (2018 crypto market showed us the danger of HODL strategy).
Looking into the Q1 of 2019, the GenXInvesting expects the following price action based on the technical analysis for bitcoin, gold and equity market.
Bitcoin Market Outlook
At the Q4 of 2018, the Bitcoin and crypto market experienced negative sentiment (near anger and capitulation level). Based on the technical analysis, the market is consolidating between $3,200 and $4,200. The current trend is expected to continue into Q1 of 2019. The GenXInvesting strategy is to accumulate BTC holding around $3200 area.

Gold Market Outlook
The gold market finished strong at the end of 2018. Based on the technical analysis, the market expects to continue the momentum. The GenXInvsting strategy has a long option open to target around $126 to capitalize on the momentum.

Equity Market Outlook
The equity market had a bullish run today with a strong number on job number and positive comment from Fed Chairman. The positive sentiment is already baked into the market and sign of weakness is showing in technical analysis. Based on the Technical Analysis, the market is expected to continue the bear market trend and retest 2016 high. The GenXInvesting strategy has a short position open since October 2018 and will take some profit on Q1.
