I agree completely that 1600 coins are far too many and we need a shake out with significant consolidation. The issue is, this is nothing like stock pump and dumps. Stocks are part of companies that can go bust. Crypto coins can go to zero but won’t fail unless every single miner (in POW) ceases to mine the chain. Prices are based on pure speculation, so it’s difficult to see what’s reasonable. The last drop was over 60% yet nothing really failed, all coins are now generally moving back up and if the crypto space rockets, it looks like all coins will go up! Until the space is more mature and projects traded on their actual merits, this is likely to continue!
