Who doesn't want a Free Wi-Fi access?
Have you been out-of-the-town before, visited a famous place and wanted to post your great pictures to show your friends. Suddenly, when your looking for accessible Wifi only to find out those cold padlocks on the side of every Wifi name???....... Not anymore with World Wi-Fi.
What is WorldWifi?
It is a decentralized Wi-Fi network powered by a Blockchain.
World Wi-Fi is a global project built through the collective efforts of the community.
The network will be based on privately owned routers (most of which are residential). Their owner may offer free internet access and earn cryptocurrency through internet advertising.
In the end, everybody wins: the guest user no longer pays for access to the internet, the router owners generate revenue by sharing their resource and advertisers reach their target audience.
Imagine this similar to accessing the internet on Starbucks. Where you can see advertisement of a page before you can access the Free Wifi on the store.
The Core Team and Working MVP(minimum viable product)?
Personally, I Invest in Good Team not only by hype or just an idea written in the whitepaper. When I look at a new project, first I look for a great team because the team will fulfill the idea for the project to achieve their goals.
Secondly, does it have a working MVP(minimum viable product) is a must-have. For as to be sure we are not investing in just an idea in the whitepaper. 9 out of 10 of all time successful ICO has their working prototype or MVP.

The idea is great, but no sure about this project so far.
Most traditional business today is a zero sum game, and we hate it , i like the idea that everybody wins and benefit from it, over time businesses will evolve into something like positive sum game where everybody will experience abundance and prosperity. :)

free wi fi doesn't make the world a better place, it just turns it into a big microwave. EMF fry our cells like popcorn. Do some research

I don't get it. So, the router should be connected to the internet and share it with people and earn coins through it? Or the router will be connected to the internet through this technology? If so, how? How about the latency and signal problems?

I won't trust some anonymous user tapping my wifi. I don't want them downloading questionable content using my wifi. Sounds like a huge security and litigation hazard.

This brings a great idea for a problem we do have. It would really bring a solution to the table. Mi only questions are;
I feel that the only solution for a "world-wifi" would be a product which is able to connect to any carrier and satellite in the world, without having to depend on small router owners, but instead in big carrier companies and world wide satellites. One that would focus on not only making wifi available to travelers, but implementing a remote technology that brings consistent high speed internet to areas where there is no internet whatsoever in the first place.
I'd be the first person to buy that product.

I just have one question for all of us. The word free, does it not ring alarm bells? facebook was free and see where it got us. If you have a company that provides free wifi then how do they earn their revenue? Advertisments? over the top services?
I personally would prefer to get a universal wifi plan (if such a thing exists) where i pay in advance and i get X amount of bandwidth and connectivity where i am.
but that is my 2 cents!

I agree in what you think. First of all I'm 3 months old to this crypto currency thing and I found it more interesting. It is possible of wide mass adoption since bitcoin is from year 2009 it happened that it started to raised its price.
You're right about there's nothing to stop crypto currency from insane mass adoption.
