They plan to eventually replace all the Ether with EMON tokens, which there are only 20 million of. They are mined through battles. "Here, we'll take all that pesky Ether and y'all can have these fucking EMONs. Get the fuck out of here... Basically, when they are done making their coin, there will be nothing backing the value of these Bootleg Pokemon.
According to their Market, a single Etheremon could be sold anywhere from .0015 ETH,
up to 500 ETH for a Generation 0, First Catch. There is also one for sale for 1337 ETH but I'm certain that is just "Leet speak".
To clarify, cheapest Etheremon is (based on ETH current value of about $1000 USD) would be about a buck fifty and the most expensive ones are being auctioned for half a million dollars?
To buy a used Toyota Camry?
