ICOs have been a huge revelation! It gave companies an additional revenue stream and it provided investors an easier means to invest. Sure, the whole ICO process could be more streamlined, but what we have is already lightyears beyond what we had a decade ago. This is the main strength of ETH, and I feel like this is what other coins should build up on. Usurping ETH in the ICO game is a tough task, but it's very doable. Another nice tutorial. kapatid!

Thanks pare! Yeah I agree that ICOs are a GREAT crowdfunding method...not just for businesses, but for investors alike! Gone are the days of traditional venture capital fundraising & institutional underwriting. Initial coin offerings now allow regular folks like you & I to put in any small amount we're comfortable with in order to get a piece of the "early bird" pie.
It's so revolutionary & a great way to both diversify your portfolio as well as see great returns on your investment.
I completely agree, especially with how daunting the technical aspect can be; one wrong digit in the sending address can send your funds off to who-knows-where. But there are also apps/services emerging that help deal with this like ZILLA. Hopefully we'll be seeing this streamlining process take place in the very near future!
I've seen ZILLA before, and I support what they do. I've been using KickICO as well to track interesting offerings.
