With the prevalence and relative ease of controlling market prices for smaller cryptocurrencies by individuals and smaller groups, as evidenced by pump and dump schemes, and FUD messaging on platforms like Reddit, will the entry of Goldman Sachs and other big financial players create more value manipulation and in larger cryptocurrencies that are regarded to be secure against such centralized manipulations?
At a higher level, one of cryptocurrency's primary goal is to decentralize money and prevent such distortions of value - it worries and saddens me that many cryptocurrencies would seem to be susceptible to this larger manipulation.
