5 reasons to (or not to) invest in #5 EOS

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago

EOS is one of the cryptocurrency, which is also called an Ethereum killer. However, where other Ethereum killers were not very effective, EOS seems to have a greater chance of success. These are the five reasons for whether or not to go for EOS.

Successful founder +

One of the positive points about EOS is that Dan Larimer interferes with it. Larimer has already come up with the successful Bitschares and Steemit projects and has already proven that he can actually do something and make it successful. Larimer introduced, among other things, the concept of decentralized autonomous organizations. This is what Ethereum is all about and what has ensured that Ethereum has become so big.

Scalable to "infinity" +

Another advantage to EOS and one of the reasons why it is called the Ethereum killer is that the system is incredibly scalable. The scalability of networks is something that different cryptocurrency problems have, including Ethereum and also Bitcoin. At EOS, processes and transactions can be processed in parallel or horizontally. This means that transaction rates can theoretically become quite high and the network will have fewer problems to grow. According to some, it would even be possible with EOS to process millions of transactions per second.

No transaction costs +

Where in some cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin, you can spend a lot of money on transaction costs, you do not have to worry about that at EOS. Fortunately, there are no transaction costs at EOS and, as mentioned earlier, transactions can also take place quite quickly.

EOS is not yet a proven platform -

Although EOS appears to have a lot of potential on paper, the platform still has to prove itself. The platform is not yet fully developed and at the moment we have to do it mainly with promises. As mentioned, the fact that Dan Larimer interferes with it is a good sign that at least a working system should come out. On the other hand, Larimer is also known for being fickle and abandoning his projects at a given moment.

No maximum of initial investments -

At the moment the cryptocurrency is in the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) phase. This is a kind of cryptocurrency crowdfund phase, where companies try to raise a certain amount through investors. At EOS, however, there is no limit to the amount that can be invested during the ICO phase. This causes concern for some people. The question is what will happen with the extra money that has been raised on top of the necessary investments.

It could potentially lead to too high a value of the tokens, which could cause problems later on. It is also the question what will happen when the tokens can finally be used after the ICO phase. There is always the chance that many people only want to invest in the short term and sell everything quickly to get the profit immediately. This could of course also be problematic for the price of EOS tokens. Because EOS is not yet fully operational, it is always a bit more difficult to assess the situation.

These were 5 reasons why or why not to invest in EOS. It's up to you to decide wether or not to invest now. Be sure to check out my last post about Tron as well: https://steemit.com/crypto/@jesseve/5-reasons-to-or-not-to-invest-4-tron-trx and don't forget to follow me for more! :)
