Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the cryptocurrency world and have been struggling to find people to bounce ideas off of and learn from. Im looking to start a thread right here and now for anyone who has questions, suggestions, ideas, the next big things etc... to share on here with other fellow crypto maniacs!
I personally think Litecoin is going to take off very shortly (as it already has sort of) and go even higher once we hit our august 1st SegWit deadline... anyone have any thoughts about this? I was also reading that amazon was considering accepting it as a form of currency on their website and once amazon gets somethings name out there... well you know what happens!
I know ive barely touched on anything but i wanted to leave the floor open to anyone else who has anything they want to share as well!

I like sia coin a lot too, I can't speak deeply on most coins but what I've dabbled a bit of money into is golem, sia coin, lisk, and soon ant shares.
I recently put about 75% of my investments into litecoin, I agree with you, but it could be a gamble,
when litecoin activated segwit like a m onth or so ago the price doubled.. litecoin is under valued though but if things do go successfully for btc, ltc could really fall off.
nobody knows though that's the craxzy thing.
I really think ethereum is due for big things, they've been under attack by the ico's like eos, but ethereum is way better than what people are giving it credit for
I pulled most of my Ethereum once it hit $397 so I did well there... Im waiting for a lower price point before I would feel comfortable buying back in.... say $205? we will see. I dont have 10s of thousands of dollars to gamble with here so im hoping my litecoin prediction pays off! I see with you moving %75 if yours to litecoin you will be too!
any idea of the possibility of BTC coming out without a scratch from segwit?
a word of advice for you, buy and hold, I know you see stuff going up 25+% in a day and ur like well shit I could just grow my money way faster.
but its extremely difficult to play the crypto game, I tried, and I won some days, and lost a bit more.
I know it seems possible but what u really end up doing is missing out on huge gains that you would've had if you stuck to ur guns.
be smart but buy and hold, btc/ltc, and eth are very good investments obvisously and then keep some wherever else and just hold.
steem is really shady I think, my friend @ kyle.Anderson seems to think so, so I trust that and don't put a shitload on here. just passing on what I've learned in the past 3 months.

there is the possibility of btc coming out in marred but idk what that likely hood is!

I started out investing 4500 of usd and turned it into about 16k
that's because I bought into etheruem between 85-151 usd and then moved everything to steem and that hit $2.70
sadly I'm down because of the recent drop in crypto prices but i'm excited for what the next month or two have in store

I am a newbie as well, did a lot of reasearch for the last four weeks! Just loving the whole crypto-world! (since i have spent many years on stock markets) I did some small deposits just to know how things function.

I am still looking for the right time to change my fiat into BTC. In my opinion it should be right before August because the uncertainty will be on its peak. After whatever they do with the bitcoin blockchain it is going to encourage new buyers in the crypto markets (don't think BTC is going to be worse than before). Think i will get a decent amount of BTC end of this month. So in conclusion i would not keep lightcoins until end of this month, before whatever happens to bitcoin.
If you feel i am totally on the wrong track or you have another point of view please let me know. Would be proud to eventually get new followers as well because it encourages me to share my jurney into cryptos - newbie to professional - with you guys!
no I totally agree, they will know whats going to happen to btc before it actually happens, btc is very powerful and is the #1 name brand in the biz, If they get things to work out atleast ok it'll be v good for btc, and you can see how much the price jumped when segwit was activated on ltc, there will be big hype if things look bright

so youre saying dump whatever litecoin we have before august 1st? you dont think BTC will go downwards once segwit gets activated?
I do definitely see great potential in lightcoin. All pros do recomend it for the long term investment. Nevertheless i couldn't get (think the is nothing) any information about what could be the changes at BTC blockchain. As far as i know ltc rocks because of their "clean" and fast blockchain. What if BTC is going to be as fast in the future? Will ltc has its "be there authorisation" ?!

I understand what you're saying... if you were in my shoes with 50% of your portfolio in litecoin, what would you do before August 1st?
I am afraid to advice you to do this or that... like i toled you i am a newbie, but i would look for a kind of stable crypto (steem😉) with no segwit, until things relax.
On the other hand segwit could be a temporary boom and most pros do recomend to get into ltc.
Sorry for not beeing specific on your question, but if we knew what is going to happen the market would skyrocket.
basically I do agree with you but I think litecoin has really good potential too, its a good hedge against btc and businesses from what I've read, prefer ltc.
I plan on holding my LTC as well... just curious to hear the other side too? There seems to be a TON of loyalty when it comes to BTC... and most who are loyal think BTC will never be touched. But even David fell Goliath...

Recently i've been trying to research altcoins. Currently I have Siacoin, Digibyte, Bitshares, and Steem of course. Sadly I bought into Numeraire when it was high, so i'm hoping that climbs back up.
I hold siacoin and bitshares as well, it's a rough world out there in cryptoland. I'm hoping litecoin can keep its rise going !
