[Cryptocurrency] Oxygen - A Decentralised CryptoRepo Platform

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Introducing Oxygen, a new decentralised CryptoRepo platform from the people who brought you Changelly. With Oxygen you can generate income from lending your cryptocurrency holdings, as well as raise liquidity against cryptocurrency collateral, in a completely legally compliant and safe way. You can find someone to lend your cryptocoins to on your own terms, while the collateral is held safely via smart contracts which act as a sort of escrow agent. You are also able to borrow any ethereum-based asset to cover your inventory gap.

This new platform isn’t just aimed at companies and full-time cryptotraders or miners, but also for the average crypto holder. Oxygen is aimed at everyone who holds cryptocurrencies, utilising a blockchain-based marketplace for both borrowing and lending. In their own words:

“In a CryptoRepo transaction one party borrows digital tokens from another party and commits to return these assets with interest at a future date.
The Borrower provides crypto assets to the Lender as collateral, creating a secured digital transaction.
Collateral is custodied by a smart contract, that also acts as a clearing and settlement agent.”

Oxygen is to be regulated under the DLT regime in Gibraltar, with plans on registering as an Alternative Trading System (ATS) in the US. You can register for the Pre-sale now via their website, so if you’re interested in making your cryptocurrencies work for you, then definitely go check it out. I’ve included links to their site and whitepaper below.

I'm interested to see the evolution of lending with crypto. So far it's been a sketchy mess
so if Oxygen can go about things in a legit way and cover all the legal bases it will do well.

Yeah man, if they can pull it off, it'll be a game changer. The same can be said for most crypto projects, the ones with the most promise in my view are the ones who are both prepared and willing to go through a regulatory body.
