Okay, raise your hand and tell me if you know of an active cryptocurrency that has lost more than 80% of its value in one month.
I certainly don't know of any. Please tell me about any if you know of them.
Now, raise your hand if you know of a cryptocurrency with an 80% or greater increase in value over the course of one month.
Everyone should be raising their hand; Bitcoin has increased from 1200 USD to 2200 USD cryptocurrency and anyone who invested in it early on should be very rich by now.
Crytocurrency, like any investment, can increase or decrease in value with time. I've noticed a trend; Bitcoin has gradually begun to increase in value again every time it's had a crash or value reduction time period, and each time it has hit a new peak. In the past month, Bitcoin has experienced about a 1000 USD increase in value - it's due for another crash soon, but it'll hit a new peak after a few years.
Etherium has a similar pattern, but without the crashes that Bitcoin has had. Since August of 2015, Ethereum's value has gone from 3 to 166 USD and looks like it's going to keep getting higher.
Some cryptocurrencies haven't had such promising patterns, but the fact remains that their value is, as a whole, going to continue increasing as more people move away from centralized currencies.
