SPORTFISHING AND THE PROFISH EFFECT
Hello Steemians, please permit me to introduce a sporting evolution that is currently making waves in the crypto world, and that is no other than the PROFISH innovative strides in overhauling the SportFishing events, using blockchain technology and cryptocurrency thus; repositioning the sport for a more efficient and robust performance.
It’s not as if fishing is a new sporting trend; we’ve been fishing for ages, but the art of creativity bore into the fishing line to enthrone a recreational sport that the outdoor activity lovers will want to identify with. That recreational sport is what we call “Sport Fishing”; and I’ll be giving you some details on the sport, and the PROFISH innovative strides to enthrone a happy and economically booming sector. Let’s start with introducing the word; “SportFishing”.
SPORTFISHING
This is a fishing activity derived from pleasures and competition. It stands off from the subsistence fishing and the commercial fishing, which were motivated by survival and profits; respectively. Coming from the nomenclature, “SPORT + FISHING”; it implies a sporting activity that entails attempts and proper catching of live fishes for recreational purpose. The activities are normally carried out with a rod, reel, line, hooks, baits, etc. They can be carried out from a boat in large open water,
As a sport; competition remains an integral part of it all, releasing varying prices to the winners. The lure for participation and identifying with the sport; alongside pure commercial interests in the sport, will prompt the need for used and new fishing gadgets; resulting in the need for marketplace creation. Having this marketplace, possibly on individual basis between the members, will result in marketing gimmicks to win over customers and ensure their loyalty. To do this, a reward based system was introduced. That summarizes the tripartite backbone on which the sport fishing event is based;

A closer look at the event will witness some loopholes like the disjointed nature of the event and the media coverage. The disjointed nature has been so, owing to the lack of an all-inclusive platform for the sport co-ordination and coverage. The disjointed nature has also hampered the reward system owing to poor means of delivery of rewards.
There are also issues bothering on the sport popularity, as the event needs a global touch in terms of coverage to encourage participation and improved revenue. Another loophole is the need for a platform, where members can showcase their achievements and participations, in a colorful event they are proud of.

PROFISH AND THE EFFECT
As already explained; PROFISH is a social media platform, utilizing blockchain and cryptocurrency features to integrate the SportFishing world with the outside world. The activities are basically online, granting community and individual memberships, the display of achievements and affiliations; marketplace coordination, revenue generation, friendship connections, etc. The goal is to enhance the SportFishing activities, and harness the potential for self-sufficiency.
As a decentralized application, the activities will run on the primary utility token called the “FISH TOKEN”; which will act as a medium, on which the platform will be run. The token will also serve as the primary source of rewards and payments in the online tournament and marketplace, between the fishermen; vendors and retailers. The above feature emphasizes the payout of winnings from sport fishing events. This can be made more affordable by blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies compared to other financial solutions. The decentralized infrastructure will also make the conduct of the exercise; credible.
Before this innovation, commercial activities in the Sport fishing arena were very disjointed; using individual stores and high cost financial engines in financial transactions. PROFISH will integrate the members, vendors and retailers, uniquely. A community storehouse is already in progress, while individual stores are also being developed to enable members, the ease and ability of putting up items for sale.
PROFISH aims to streamline the existing reward system with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. The existing system hardly gets the Rewards across to the destinations; defeating the purpose they were meant to serve. With PROFISH innovations, these challenge will be nipped in a bud.

With the US accounting for just 45% of the global SportFishing revenue, when compared with other top players like Japan, South America, South Africa, and the Scandinavia; PROFISH has been estimated as a $200Billion investment. These revenue estimates has been predicted to be increasing at the rate of 3.5%, annually, globally.
