As the EOS launch approaches, the excitement surrounding it is stirring electricity in the crypto world. Just months ago, EOS was ranked pretty low, despite its stellar reputation, but during the last couple of big market depressions, EOS was the only one to stay afloat. As a result, EOS slowly climbed its way to #6 on the coinmarketcap.com ladder, and then when the market started to recover, it crept even higher to pass Litecoin and become the #5 ranked crypto, where it currently sits.
The craziest part about all this is that EOS is technically not even a crypto yet, its still an ERC-20 token! EOS has to be the most successful ERC-20 token to ever hit the market, as there has never been a token ranked this high. To be fair though, they did hold an unprecedented one year long ICO for EOS.
As many of you may already know, EOS is scheduled to launch in 6 days on June 2, 2018. As many of you may not know however, there are three versions of the EOS blockchain that are being released simultaneously, and if you have your EOS tokens in a properly registered wallet, you will acquire ALL THREE upon release!
If you were invested in BTC for any its forks (whether a hard, soft, or source code fork), then you know just how valuable having the other versions of a popular crypto can be, especially if you got Bitcoin Cash. As far as I know, the ratio for all the EOS "forks" (although they are not exactly forks) will be 1:1, as it is not certain which version of EOS will be adopted as the main one, and in turn become the most valuable. I can say for a fact however, that the other two version will not be valueless. Without official names they are mostly being referred to as EOS1, EOS2, & EOS3 for now.
Having a 1:1 ratio means that you will receive an equivalent amount of the alternate EOS cryptos as you have EOS tokens upon release. YOU WILL ONLY RECEIVE THE ALT EOS IF YOU HAVE YOUR EOS TOKENS IN A PROPERLY REGISTERED WALLET PRIOR TO THE LAUNCH OF EOS.
I would recommend using the EXODUS WALLET, as it seems to be the easiest, and least confusing way to properly register EOS tokens. It also guarantees that your EOS tokens will turn into actual cryptocurrency, along with securing your acquisition of its alternates. There are many other options for doing this of course, including keeping your EOS on certain exchanges that will supposedly register your tokens for you. In addition to this not being guaranteed, it is also not guaranteed you will get the alternate EOS cryptos if you approach your registration this way.
Although the blockchain(s) are scheduled to release on June 2nd, it is also important to remember that the deadline to get your EOS tokens into a registered wallet is before that, on June 1st. With this in mind, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get your EOS registered NO LATER than May 31st, just to be safe.
If you haven't invested in EOS yet and have been considering it, there will probably never be a better time than now, especially since you can get FREE CRYPTO out of the deal. It is not too late as you still have a few days to register. If you missed cashing in on the Bitcoin wave, and are looking to make up for that regret, here is your chance. Investment is a risk rewards system, and this one has very low risk. So I say, do what you can legally do to invest in EOS. If that means waiting until after it is released, and missing out on the other alternate EOS coins, then so be it. It is still a FANTASTIC investment on its own, as soon as we know which version will be adopted as the mainstream version.

It never hurts to broaden your understanding of economics either way.
