Bitcoin is the original cryptocurrency, and its meteoric rise has made it a mainstay of conversation for investors, media, and technologists alike.

Bitcoin actually helped to birth a new market over 800 other cryptocurrencies and assets that are available for online trading.
The cryptocurrency market cap stands on $102 Billion while bitcoin itself stands on 40$ Billion, that means that all cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin stand on 62$ Billion.

Here is some of the cryptocurrencies coins that you should take a look at:

Litecoin:
Lite coin is one of the first altcoins.
Litecoin was released via an open-source client on GitHub on October 7, 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former Google employee. Litecoin also uses blockchain network like most of the cryptocurrencies coin. Litecoin can be used to purchase any almost service.
Litecoin stands on 2.1$ Billion of the market cap at the time of writing.

Ripple:
Ripple's distributed financial technology enables banks to send real-time international payments across networks.
Ripple was first developed in 2004 by Ryan Fugger, a web developer in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Its good to see NEM getting in on the action its such a undervalued crypto, the next 6-12 months will be an interesting time for NEM with the team upping their media presence.
