It took me awhile, but I found a bunch of coins with masternodes or upcoming masternodes.
Not sure what a masternode is? You take a specific amount of coins and commit them to the network and you run some software that helps the network. In return, you get a reward. I think there is a lot of incentive for people to own these coins and if the services the developers hope to build on top of them take off, well.. the sky is the limit. You also get rewarded for waiting, and it reminds me of mining, except that you do not need an amazing computer to do it. Some coins also offer staking, where you can generate return just for running the wallet.
Here are a list of the coins with masternodes, and with masternodes in the works. I have tried to list these in order of most expensive to least expensive. Currently, a DASH masternode requires 1000 dash, so thats 40k-70k while PIVX is about 17k and CRWN is 8k. BTA coin has masternode options in the works, and you can currently get enough for a masternode for less than 2k. Here is a list for research:

I currently have a PIVX, CRW masternode and enough for one in BTA when the change happens. There are many others I like as well, but passed on them for different reasons. Specifically, I like MUE and BLOCK but did not act on it. I like coins with masternodes because it gets people involved and invested alongside with the developers.

You forgot to include ChainCoin. ChainCoin was the original coin to use 11 algos chained together to mine. The X11 algo DASH uses was actually plagerized from it and DASH profited from better marketing as well as a premine, which chaincoin did not do.

That is actually not true, they came out within a day of eachother, dash was called xcoin then and was released on january 18th, while chaincoin was released on the 19th.
Right now Eternity Coin ENT is 1000ENT for a masternode. This is probably the least expensive coin to get a masternode right now. It's about $37 a masternode.

A masternode is sold to the public as a decentralized node that anyone can run.
To me specifically, it means it's a centralized node (one of many), operated by someone who you do not know, that is trusted with your coin transactions to offer pseudo-privacy to them.
It can be considered a centralized transactional network in my books, and one that I do not find to be truly decentralized.
If you have money, you can buy your right to run a masternode.
If you have money, or resources, you can attack or hack a masternode.
Masternodes can be targets. A truly decentralized coin has no specific targets, because there are two many nodes.
Anyway you asked, and I thought I'd share some food for thought.
If you have money, you can run a masternode - true. You can easily take out 1 masternode, but if enough people run one (pivx has over 2k, crw over 600) then I would imagine that it would be hard to take out the network. To me, it is a way to get more decentralized. You might have a great techinical understanding of what I am saying, so please help me understand, I am trying to educate myself!

One of the most exciting masternode coins is SIBCoin. A Siberian coin that is a clone of DASH. It has over 5k masternodes and has been in use since 2015. Stores actually accept SIB as payment. Masternode is under $300 atm. There is almost no marketing behind this coin and is why most have never heard of it. They are adding Evolution as well.
This is one to keep an eye on. Once it receives attention, prices will surely rise. Even at $1, a mn is a steal at $1k. Picking them up under $300 is crazy cheap. That is, if it gains some attention. ;)
