Are we Americans being deliberately dumbed down of the knowledge of Bitcoin/Altcoin?

Looking at Japan, Korea, China, India, Russia and the rest of Europe.....and other countries beginning to adopt Cryptocurrency as a way of the future. But here in the USA.....I hear about government wants to make laws that are strick laws on Cryptocurrency. And in the News....saying that theres a huge bubble. How in the world can they say its a bubble when 98% of American population have no idea what Bitcoin or Altcoin is. Do you feel that there's something not right and that the U.S media want to dumb us down from not knowing what other countries know about cryptocurrency? Do you feel the same way as how I see it? If you don't believe me ... go out in the public and ask people if they know about Bitcoin or Altcoin.

Most of the communities here on Steemit and other crytocurrencies website of course will know it. But on the streets ... it is totally different. Will most American miss the boat on Cryptocurrency? If this is a true case....All you people out there that have the knowledge about cryptocurrencies must inform your felllow citizens.

Sort:

America just wants to develop there own government controlled cryptocoin, before teaching people how it works and such.

America just doesn't like it that bitcoin is so big and they can't control it.

I don't know if dumbed down is the right term, but fore sure there is an effort to act like nothing is going on. I think it is because of the big banks not wanting competition. As Blockchain tech can allow the people to bypass them completely.
