The thing that I love about Bitshares (and most other crypto, too) is that we don't have to "fight" the bankers, we can just go around them and not use their services anymore. Crytpo allows us to directly transact with one another. Bitshares even allows us to issue a loan to ourselves at no interest (by using Bitshares as collateral... but be careful with that and know what you are doing because there can be some downsides if the price of Bitshares significantly drops).
