An Investment In DeepOnion Is An Investment In Community

The cryptocurrency market can be volatile, and that gives some people pause to invest in it. While a company issued stock may offer a tiny, yet more stable return cryptocurrencies offer something far, far better. They offer the opportunity for you to actually take part in your investment. Many times crypto projects are community funded, organized and developed. That means that you have a much bigger role to play in the success of your coin. While a giant company like Google will happily take your money should you wish to invest in their stock the relationship ends there. There's no place for you. You don't make any decisions. You don't have a voice.

Cryptocurrency gives investors that voice back. There's no other investment opportunity in the world that gives investors the same privileges as crypto. Community backed projects are notorious for involving their investors, and often this is the best marketing available. People want to be heard, and when they are their loyalty for a project grows. In a traditional finance market you'd never dream of being able to talk to the CEO of a company before putting your savings into his organization, but that's common place in Crypto World. A seemingly twilight zone-eque type of place where developers, marketing teams, and basically anyone else that has anything to do with your investment are available on discord, forums, or other social media ready to answer your questions.

What's more is that many coins can be taken over by the community. While abandonment by the founders of a traditional company would mean bankruptcy and a total loss for shareholders that's no so in Crypto World. In fact, it's very common for a project that's dead in the water to be picked up and developed by its community out of love. A cryptocurrency doesn't really belong to anyone in this sense. It belongs to the people. It belongs to those who wish to invest their time in it. It's open source, it's decentralized, it's a community asset, and it can be yours too.

More and more coins are pushing for this community feel by allowing for voting and governance objectives within their own ecosystems. As if to say, this is your coin. What do you want it to do? Privacy focused cryptocurrency DeepOnion is getting closer to launching their Vote Central protocol. This new feature will allow the community to present new ideas for the project, and then to vote on their implementation.

Voting power will be weighted based on the amount of tokens held to give holders who are more invested a slightly larger say, but anyone who has $Onions will be able to vote even if it is a very small amount. This is one of the best parts about cryptocurrency to me. Fortune 500 companies, big banks, and "too big to fail" businesses don't care about you or your opinions. They want you to give them your money, and then kindly show yourself to the door. DeepOnion wants to know what you think of it. Even if you are their smallest holder. They want you to know that you are important.

This does something magical for a community. It boosts loyalty, and it gives ownership to those who choose to invest their time and money. Now, DeepOnion is not just an investment. It's a community, and it's a place that cares about you. While many coins have adopted governance options in the past to me they all seemed rather cold and distant. This is not just a cryptocurrency related concern, but one of technology in general. While the internet has given us the ability to connect with others on a level never before possible it often seems emotion does not broadcast across the web.

However, in the land of $Onions there's a place where those connections become more real. The DeepOnion forums are a real community of people joined together by their belief in a currency that they think will change the way we do things everyday. No matter your interests or where you're from there's a place for you there. You're a hodlr, and that makes you part of the DeepOnion family.

It's something very special, and even in Crypto Land you'd be hard pressed to find an investment that also gives you access to a community such as this one. While many will tell you that you should never be emotionally invested when it comes to money what happens if that emotion had the possibility to strengthen your financial investment too? What if this community was the glue that held everything together. That's the reality of DeepOnion. A place where finance and emotion walk that dangerous line, but yet somehow still works. DeepOnion is an investment in more than a cryptocurrency. It's an investment in a community. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Thx for another informative post. Easy to read.

I just came across your other post about effect.ie and I really liked it.

Please continue up with creating interesting content - it may be hard at the beginning to build reach and solid followers base.
Steemits needs solid content builders so just dont ever give up! :)

Hi again

I decided to check your profile just to realize that we seem to share a number of interests :)
In particular that we both share a similar passion towards cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology :)

Keep up with great content. Will follow you from now on.

Cheers, Piotr

Check this game out, look close with an open mind with what this new concept is doing with open source Ethereum ERC-20 smart contracts, decentralized exchange and passive income. The game is on it's way to passing the crypto kitties game on the Dapp Radar. The smart contract is coded to tax 10% of the ETH. when users purchase the (P)roof (O)f (W)eak (H)ands tokens and divides the ETH. tax to people who are already holding and also 10% of when users sell “20% total”. The name of the game is to hold as long as you can while you get earnings from the constantly taxed “Strong hand” buys and the taxed “weak hand” sells. If you don’t want to play anymore, you can pull out all your earnings all at once but with a 10% tax fee that gets divided to the stronger hands. This is what the ERC-20 smart contract is programed to do. Doesn’t hurt to look at the contracts open source code at least, don’t let the opportunity pass you by.
