Yes I'm not surprised about this development...
I mainly use ETH for transactions and I'm just holding ETH (besides some other alts) not BTC, because for me the transactions take too long and the fees are pretty high...way better and faster with ethereum!

Could not agree with you more...I actually liquidated my holding of BTC a few weeks ago and riding most of it on Ether because of the same reasons. Great minds thinking alike...hopefully?! :)
