So well actually 1011 somehow...
I did miss the 100th follower, the 500th, even the 1000th... I'm just like that, running all the time not looking at the essential while chasing something bigger.
So i decided to make a contest to celebrate this one, and share this achievement as i tend to see the follower count as an indicator of how much trust have you build on your surrounding.
And it has been brought to my attention that i come out whinny and annoying while doing so, and speaking with an Argentinian friend we agreed that STEEMizens have all different levels of understanding what the block-chain and STEEM and steemit really are.
It actually comes from each individual reality and their own perception of their surroundings, and it is shaped by their own needs.
And well, that is a little the basis of this contest.
Let me give first some background information: At the highest levels of STEEM management there are two different trends which the people on each side tends to think they are totally incompatible, a great Steemizen* told me that there is no US and THEM and that is totally right.
*(that many might know or heard about it because even if he is still plankton has a loud voice and seems to be everywhere)
So this two trends of management of this block-chain and the big stake holders, the ones that believe in reproducing the Too-Big-to-Fail from our day to day outside this matrix society, those are the entrepreneurs, the business man... And there is this several-levels-of-anarcho humanists, that see in the block-chain technology the possibility of achieving a fairer society of opportunity based on mutual respect and selflessness.
It is really complicated if we see it in the terms of:
Us and Them
And the front rank died
And the general sat
And the lines on the map
Moved from side to side
But when it comes down to what matters, we are all humans, with different ideas and personalities and needs and hopes.
I have found some of both groups, belong to a third common one: The Free Thinkers, and those i have crossed and spent endless hours discussing and sharing views and ideas i have the honor to call friends today, have made me richer as a human than all the advice Haejin gave to his followers during the Bull market at the end of last year. (I am not one i just like to stir the hornet's nest it is something twisted in me that makes me do this lol)

I wanted this contest to be meaningful and useful, for this I've chosen two pink floyd songs, and i will ask you to:
Tell me how you percieve/see steemit while listening to both songs
And analyzing the lyrics while you try to fit the words in your perception of this block-chain that some of us call home.

To me steemit is a tool just like bitcoin is a tool. It can be used by many different people for many different reasons.
We have our whales who just post so they can get big rewards for themselves, then you have the whales who help out the community (please show me them)
We also have users who are copy and pasting comments playing the numbers game trying to get as much as they can just to cash out...
But then there are talented bloggers or people who already have a following who put very high quality content or just port over their existing following trying to get more profit.
Then theres me. I have no idea how my behavior on here would be if I had invest a few bitcoin back when this was $0.07/steem...but for now I am slowly, very slowly growing my followering hesitating to show my face by making videos on Dtube or Dlive...I guess I need a push or something but I feel the fact that I am literally accumulating a cryptocurreny is quite the incentive to came back here every day. Learn more, contribute opinions and knowledge, and occasionally take a few minutes and reply to a post like this....

Una excelente idea, que a mi parecer, busca persuadir de alguna manera la relación de nuestros pensamientos con una melodia a traves de un escrito. Great idea of a contest, it is unique.
An observation, the third price seem to have more value than the 2nd price. Looking at it from the price of steem/SBD and how many steem it will require to get 500 SP for a month at minnowbooster...I may be wrong though.

It is not about the cost, it is not about the value...

Also the other two prices are convertible to rented SP.
Last time i checked was 200 SP per Steem per week so 4 weeks of 500 should amount to about 10 steem.

It may seem that I didn't listen to both songs.
Well, I did.
It really helped me to write, specially Us and Them, because I used to listen to that song when I was younger and transported me to that time when I felt that what I wanted to do (be a musician) was stupid.
Us and Them, Humanities and Sciences, that's a little heads-up.
I start participating in this contests with only one thought
I want the money.
I think many of us think that. But when I start to think to what the hell to write, and how to write it, I really feel good, it's like a motivation to think further, to work harder, to do a good job.
I don't know if I did, but I know I tried, and at least I have one of my many thoughts finally written forever, or at least for a very long time.

Although I would like very much to win prizes that will help me to grow my SP so that I can give out bigger votes, I must politely decline from entering your contest.
My hearing is not good enough for me to understand what the singers are saying over the sound of the music. I have no idea what is being said in US & THEM. As for TURNING AWAY, all I could understand is that they are saying something about turning away from those who need the most attention. This is much like the situation here on Steemit because the weak are the ones that need the most attention given to them. Other than that, I don't know what else to say.
I need to limit my time here on steemit because I really need to take care of my health. If I die, all the Steem in the world will not bring me back to life! I have several ideas for posts I want to write, but I have not made any of them yet due to a lack of free time. I keep my responsibilities to my daily zombie adventure game plus my weekly contests and free advertising posts, but that is all I can afford for now. Hopefully I can participate more on Steem in the future.
A bot for posting replies to actions on my zombie game would be of great help to me at this time. I realize you have had your own troubles and I don't wish to push you into sacrificing your own health for me. However, I would like to remind you about an unfulfilled commitment you made to me. It would be nice to get that squared away one way or another.
