Way back in March 2017
(about 150 days ago) you could buy LISK (LSK) for about $0.11 cents. It's volume trading was quite low and it was one of those many low value coins floating about in the shadow of Bitcoin hype. Lisk does not have any cool graphics on it's website but It does have it's own wallet and there is a lot of documentation. It's a serious toolkit and there will be no doubt, countless clever applications built on the LISK platform by otherwise non BC coders.
Under The Hood
If you had taken a look under the hood, you might have noticed that Lisk was not just a; (yet another worthless currency). It was a sophisticated platform. CLICK TO EXPLORE LISK HERE. Developed as a way to write de-centralised apps in pure Java each on a separate LISK sidechain, those in the know, knew this had potential to grow some very long legs.
DAPPS in JAVA ?
A whole generation of Java heads could be tempted in to the BlockChain fray without having to go back to school... a round of applause for thinking ahead.
I won't brag about how I bought up a massive stack of them (because I didn't) but recognising it's future potential as a BlockChain player with a really compelling Unique Sales Proposition or *USP, I did bag a few quid's worth ;)

It's a meteoric rise and one that will probably continue to grow over the next year or so as both investors and coders recognise It's true potential. I think LISK is a keeper and one for the long haul. Anyone care to chip in with Lisk opinion feel free to do so
Conducting your own research is important when investing money into cryptocurrencies. Do not rely on the tips of others in place of your own due diligence. Yes that includes my own humble opinions. Remember investments can go up as well as down.

thanks @mooncryption. I agree it's got a really good potential for the long term. one for the speculators. I think the key is to keep your eyes peeled for similar crypto. I reckon that's 1 in 20 / 50 or maybe even 1 in 75 /100 of ICO's which will produce a long term viable business... ladies and gentlemen, pick your horses. (ps following back)
