It can't be stopped but the damage can be potentially limited by informing people it's a ponzi. The bigger ponzis get, the more damage they do (and this will do a lot of damage regardless) when they blow up. BitConnect will damage the individuals involved and perhaps the reputation of cryptocurrency as a whole.
