So thanks to the excitement with SBD and Steem this last week I was flush with 80 liquid steem. My standard operating procedure has been to plow my liquid resources into leasing steem which had been working well for me. This week everyone is flush with liquidity so every knuckle dragger with a pulse has leased SP, completely drying up the market.
Great now what do I do with the Steem Power leasing market locked up more than a Guido's bowels after three dozen cannolis?

I didn't really want to lock it up as Steem Power. It wouldn't really raise my Vote power much and it would take 13 weeks to get it back out if I wanted to use it for something else. I could hold it and wait for either Steem Power leasing to settle or SBD to drop back to $1 USD/SBD but who knows when that will happen. Then I had an idea.

I've been wanting to learn how to trade crypto and open an account on an exchange. So I did a little research and found that the two real choices seem to be either Poloniex or Bittrex. I also found Poloniex sucks hairy sack right now because they are having trouble receiving transfers. That said I signed up for Bittrex and went through the process of obtaining an enhanced account. My “selfie” must have scared them because my account was approved in about an hour. Next I had to figure out how to transfer the Steem to Bittrex. I felt like a retard trying to do calculus.

Lucky for me there are a lot of great how to's right here on Steemit. One got me through the process on sending the Steem to Bittrex. Then another got me through how to sell the Steem for Bitcoin. I bought BTC at 13k and something. I have it written down(fuck yeah that's old school) but I'm too lazy to go look. So it's already worth more than what I bought it for.
I have now officially owned three crypto's - Steem, SBD, and BTC.
Gratulation!
Thanks.

Cool man. How has steemfollower worked for you?
Great. The key is to lease Steem Power. Do all your upvoting via Steemfollower. Rinse. Repeat. You'll grow your account much faster that way.
How can i lease my stem power? And I’m also trying to build this from scratch without putting money into it. I just want to earn. Is this realistic?

Also can lease from blocktrades( go in your wallet and click buy steem) but rates are better at minnowbooster right now.
Right now though there is a major backup for leased Steem Power. Good luck getting some.
Congrats. I started similar but with BTC first then Steem and SBD. I hate to hold BTC because it earns me nothing but the coin apperciated a huge amount in the past few weeks. Out of all the altcoins I am involved it still feels BTC is the best choice.
Thanks. Hopefully this next week is a big wave.

Congrats at buying your first bitcoin. Just in time: We'll see if tomorrow's future trading makes it shoot up or crashes it. My bet is the former, but will be a fun ride either way.
That was another part of my motivation for doing it now. Ride the wave!
Hey @randystiefer
Great post, I'm also slowly collecting liquid steem to sort out different things and also considered buying maybe a fraction of a bitcoin with it, I mean it wouldn't hurt anyone and Steem comes and goes, but seeing Bitcoin just rising like a sucker it would be a good idea, OR Litecoin, that's also good idea. I may actually consider it, would you like to discuss about crypto somewhere? I would be really interested to share interests about cryptocurrencies heh.
@frankk
I'm leaning more toward Litecoin now. As I continue to educate myself I see a real problem with Bitcoin's Fees. I think Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin are going to replace it eventually. I moved over to litecoin at 200 and now it's over 300 hundred. Sweet :)
I got the same opinion to be honest, since Litecoins algorithm seems more stable and futuristic as well. I thought about buying litecoin a few days ago but not sure why I didn't do it, now its yeah over 300, nice though!
