I had no idea that Komodo is at the forefron with Atomic Swaps. They are a player in the cryptospace that is advancing the technology around atomic swaps.
Atomic Swaps make it possible for wallet to wallet exchanges of cryptocurrency. For example: switching my digibyte for litecoin....or komodo for steem....or something like that. It's an added security and protection for the average user. It prevents against a number of risks associated with centralized exchanges.
Decentralized Exchanges don't involve atomic swaps... necessairly...but it looks like komodo is creating a new decentralized exchange model that will involve atomic swaps.
There seems to be so much inovation happening within Komodo - i think this will be a good coin to take a position within and hodl into 2019 and possibly beyond.
This is very interesting, I've heard that Decred should kind of be the frontrunners of atomic swaps. But do you think Komodo is better positioned?
Komodo is pioneer in the field of atomic swaps, I think that's the reason why it's better positioned, in terms of atomic swap technology.
However, the more the better, I hope Decred will catch up soon.
They both seem to be pretty well positioned. From what i've seen of both thus far - i give the competitive edge to Komod
