Coinbase is again ahead of the game. A US patten was won by the CEO of the crypto exchange platform for sending bitcoin via email. This simple idea and a fairly obvious implementation (tying email address with your bitcoin wallet) will simplify and ease the usage and transfer of bitcoin, especially for novice users.
This is not entirely a new idea from Coinbase. Already today, If you have an account with the exchange, www.coinbase.com, you can transfer bitcoin to any other Coinbase user via his or her email address instead of using their bitcoin wallet address. Not only does it make a transaction more human-like, but it also reduces or even removes transaction fees! You can send tiny amounts, e.g. 0.00000500 BTC (circa 0.04 USD) within the Coinbase platform. As far as I know, this is not possible outside of Coinbase by using regular bitcoin wallet addresses.
