As for your comment on currency ban in India, it was not that bad, as it may have looked from outside. It was something which was necessary to limit the black money. Most people did not lose any money and were given new notes in exchange of old notes. Only people with unaccounted money lost a part of their black money. If you earn good, you gotta pay tax, as simple as that. Nothing wrong in that.
