Love how articles about cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are going mainstream. Time to get some mainstream media talkign about Steem Dollars and Steemit.com.
Have you noticed the cost of food going up considerably? If it wasn't for Aldi I'd probably have to go find a full time job to help feed my family.
We do grow some of our food and raise chickens for eggs, but we'd need to expand our production considerable to start making our grocery bill go down.
It might not seem like much but remember those catchy $5 Foot Long commercials for Subway Restaurant? It's now $6. A 20% increase is pretty significant. (...not that we can afford to eat out all that often.)
I really don't hear anyone talking about the price of food, though. Beef is really mostly out of reach for my upper middle class family. I'm not even sure we could be considered upper middle class anymore.
We do have a comfortable home and decent cars but the cost of consumables and extras has gotten so out of whack. Is anyone else noticing this, or are we like frogs in the pot of water set to boil? Seems like people aren't even noticing the cost of goods rising.
I buy meat when it's on sale some of the stores here have buy 1 get 1 free items.
Also restaurant supply stores have good prices on food you just have to repackage it your self.
The old people and I can be seen waiting around for the meat that expires today to be marked down and put out. I take it and freeze it. In a fancy restaurant that's called "aged." LOL
It works and it saves you money. Nothing wrong with aged meat.
I eat plant based! Now I save money AND animal's lives! Honestly, shopping smart and being healthy is cheap but takes adjusting. BUT you can still keep your fancy car =)
I wish we could produce sooo much more. We're adding fruit trees all the time. It is a long term investment. Takes several years to get a tree really producing. Animals get a great life living on a farm. The animals that get raised indoors make me sad. Thanks for your response!
