Peercoin.
Peercoin is a cypto coin created by Scott Nadal and Sunny King in 2012. In2013 Scott Nadal left the project leaving Sunny as the only developer.
It's a peer to peer cryptocurrency which uses proof of stake, and proof of work systems.
Unlike most coins Peercoin doesn't have a limit to the maximum number of coins that can be generated, and is designed to have an annual inflation rate of 1%.
There is also a deflationary side to it, since each transaction has a fee of 0.1 peercoin, which will then be destroyed.
The annual inflation will be the future 'mining' of Peercoin (minting) once rewards for traditional mining decrease. This makes for a more energy efficient coin compared to bitcoin which in 2013 used $150,000,000 USD per day in power consumption costs.
