Thanks for the insight. Playing the long game myself. In the red to begin, hoping I'll hit the green soon.

Very good. Yes. Take it slow. Better invest early rather than late. Will talk more about this in another Post.

You talk like everyone understands what you are saying. I am American, 57 yr old retired RN with two college degrees. I have been doing steemit and trying to learn how in the heck all this works. I have been able to stay up with blogging, facebook, blah blah blah...but this cryptocurrency thing is just beyond my ability. It is very hard. I knew I should have had children...lol just kidding. I'm fine. I just wish I understood all of this like you do. Thanks for the post.

Ah, I understand. Thank you for being honest and the insight. When your that long in the business - it is easy to forgot that one didn't understand anything at first, too. I will also think about creating an easy to understand Post.

cool. like crypto for dummy old women? lol

Is the currency filling a need or void in the market?

Currencies are always filling a need but cryptocurrencies - especially Ethereum fills a void.

I look forward to hearing more of these common-sense building blogs that can really help those of us who spent our time learning a trade and working in the labor force, investing is new to me and the road that I'm now traveling is a complete departure from the clearly marked highways and large road signs that I'm used to. I feel like I've taken my family car off onto unmapped territory onto an unpaved road full of potholes, washouts and narrow rickety bridges. I need all of the help that I can get! I keep passing people in four wheel drive vehicals that are either stuck or have crashed and I'm wondering how long I can last on this treacherous path in my little sedan.

As long as you keep driving with your eyes open even when the road get's bumpy - you're on the right track.

I will remember to do that ;)

Great first post Wolf! I'm doing research on Cardano and am quite intrigued for a number of reasons. They share on their Why Cardano page that they don't have an "authoritative" white paper nor comprehensive roadmap, but instead are approaching the project through iterative research, protocol design and publication done in parallel with active market operations.

Does breaking the whitepaper rule make Cardano an unpredictable risk or given their strong and thorough argument for the approach (in essence - openness to change enables scalability, extensibility, and resilience to future threats), one of the most promising emerging blockchain platforms?

The other rules they definitely pass - decent website (with perhaps some navigability issues), public team and value proposition (Ethereum++).

is there a guide to invest in crypto somewhere in your posts? thanks
im looking for basic tips which others have just swept under the rug.
the economical situation... makes it difficult to start crypto investment for many many people . its such a setback.
