Since the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020,
I have been treating patients on the front lines. It has been stressful at some times but never too overwhelming.
I was never overly concerned about getting COVID because my job as a healthcare provider meant taking care of sick people, and I knew there was risk associated with it.
I did manage to avoid COVID for the first two years, then in February 2022, my wife came down with COVID, and she was nice enough to share it with me.
And now, actually, one year to the day, I have once again tested positive.
I knew something was not right when I came home from work and rather suddenly became very tired, and I fell asleep on the couch. I got up and took my routine meds, and went right back to sleep.
During the night, I was chilled so severely that I got up and put on sweatpants and a sweatshirt, and grabbed another comforter. By Wednesday morning, I had a fever, so I tested myself.
The rest of Wednesday was pretty much a fog. I missed my computer time on Tuesday night and all of Wednesday.
Worse of all, I missed LEO Power Up Day.
This was a real bummer because I had set a goal for this year to Power Up LEO every month.
But, All in all, it could have been much worse.
I am still a little foggy and achy today, but I am improving.
It is crazy how far behind you can get after missing two days on Hive.
I will give an update on my little journey hopefully tomorrow.
I have quite a bit of catching up to do.

Glad to hear you are feeling better though. It's weird, I had it twice without any symptoms(only knew cos my employer had us tested frequently) but people I know have been hit much harder.

I often get really bad fatigue due to chronic health problems and getting older.
I catch a bug now and then too. I have to lie down. Then I might not wake up until midnight. I do not feel refreshed and sleep until morning. I can be like this for a few days at a time. I got behind on my posting on HIVE and I didn't have enough RC again to do enough posts. So I bought $30 worth of HIVE. I think this will help me.
It's really hard when you sick off and on all this time. I'm grateful for the health I have at my age but it's not perfect.

Sorry to read about this John, but super happy that you are trending towards getting better. Get well! My wife and I got sick last year, half a year apart. At first I did, and it was very hard. A few days with fever and weakness. My wife took it easier, slept a lot and took antiviral medications.
