How to Cultivate Betta Fish
Choosing Betta Fishing Seeds
Quality seeds should come from superior breeds, free of disease, healthy condition, and have no flaw defects. Seedlings of male and female betta are placed separately.
Characteristics of male fish betta is brightly colored, the movement is agile, tail and fin more fluffy width and larger body size. Characteristics of female betta fish is tail and shorter fins, more dull color, smaller body size, and more slow movement.
Spawning is done when the female parent and males are ready to be mated or have entered the mature phase of the gonads. Characteristics of breeding cocks that have been ready to be married are:

Spawning Process
After the parent is ready to mate, then prepare a small aquarium container measuring about 20 x 20 x 20 cm. Also prepare a plastic cup for betta fish and water plants such as kayambang.
Each time mating, hickey fish can produce eggs up to 1,000 eggs. For 24 hours after fertilization, the eggs are already hatched. Although the eggs are generated a lot, but in the end there are only about 30-50 live hickey.
Betta fish can be mated to 8 times every 2-3 weeks. For female betta fish, try only to be married once. If forced to produce eggs dominated by females.
Eggs Hatch and Maintain Burayak
Hatching eggs are called burayak. The 1-2-hour-old burrows do not need to be fed. When the age of 3 days and above, freshly given feed in the form of water fleas or boiled chicken eggs and given egg yolks only.
When the age of 7 weeks and more, burayak can be fed water cabbage (water of cabbage vegetables). At this time, the parent fish fish is moved to another container.
Caring for Betta Fish
When the betta fish is aged 1 month upwards, the betta fish begin to move. Separate the seedlings into small glass containers. Feed does not need to be given frequently, just 2 times a day.
For adult betta fish food, use the concentrate or voer of ornamental fish which are sold in ornamental fish shop. Can also be added natural fish feed in the form of mosquito cuk or silk worm.
