Speaking with the leader
Me: “ Maria, can I dance with you guys?”
Maria: “Dance is for everyone”

Hello again, this time I wanted to share with you some pics that I took during the celebration of the solstice 2 years ago in Ecuador. The Kichwa community leaders allowed me to take the pictures and to share them as much as I wanted. They were happy to share their celebration.

The music of los Andes (example in the link) has no percussion because people are supposed to gather in circles and tap their feet as they go round and round. There are no words to describe the feeling of being in the circle. You just feel so much the power of the community, building music together.

I will post the second part of this soon enough.
Thanks for reading everyone.
