Rumoh Aceh merupakan rumah adat yang berbentuk panggung dengan bentuk rumah seperti persegi panjang yang memiliki posisi dari arah timur ke arah barat, tujuan dari hal ini tidak lain supaya lebih mudah dalam menentukan arah kiblat, sedangkan untuk tampak depan rumah ini sendiri menghadap ke arah utara dan selatan, salah satu ciri khas dari rumoh Aceh sendiri adalah dibagian tiang-tiang penopang rumah Aceh yang begitu tinggi, panjang tiangnya mencapai 2,5-3 meter.
