Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one confused. I mean I don't want to not up-vote any article even if it's "old", but I also don't want to "waste" voting power on something that is pointless...but if the article is quality do I care?

It's like this catch22 of getting "penalized" for voting on something that is too old because it pulls away from my voting power, but I want to show love to quality work.

I'm sure I'm missing something in the equation...but this is how I feel about it right now :/

I found out about Steemit through a 5 month old post and then I created my account. Most reading about how Steemit works and how cryptocurrencies work, are from old post. Those posts were of high quality and very informative, hence, they deserve more love even if they are old :)
On the other hand, voting power :(
