NO BUSES, Who the f**k are Arctic Monkeys?

in #cure6 years ago (edited)

Hello, stemeers!❤ Today I want to share the lyrics of one of the songs of my favorite bands. It's called: "No buses" by Arctic Monkeys, besides that I would like to explain them a little bit.

This song from the EP album is written in third person. For me, personally, the lyrics of this song have two interpretations.

The first interpretation is that he talks about how he found a girl who knew he did not have much chance because the part where he says "Oh and she thinks she's the one, but she's just one in 24" is that he has several chasing him and that she would be one more of the bunch. Where Alex sings "No chance, you'll get nothin 'from me. But now she's there, you're there, everybody's there. He's in turmoil, as puzzled as can be" I interpret him as he did not want anything with her but he ended up falling low on his charms and confused. But he realizes that it's just a game of her, that even if they tell him in the same way, it will not change anything because they both knew about it: "And that's why she's after him. 'll realize that it will not change the thing, Realize that it will not change the thing "and that it would end up hurting after all.

The second interpretation I give is that by saying no buses or "no buses", he refers to love, buses represent love; I interpret it this way because of the part where it sings: "They always offer it when there are many everywhere" is just a metaphor.

It is noteworthy that most of the songs of AM are metaphor about love or life as such, can have different meanings that is why I love this band.

Thanks for reading me c:
Kisses❤.
