We have a great news for all undiscovered and under-rewarded authors who put up exceptional content on blockchain.
As many of you know Curie was created over 3 years ago to serve the community and improve content curation, and in a large portion we can say we succeeded.
Since implementing HF21 and 50/50 reward split between curators and authors we have thought of returning a portion of our curation rewards to all upvoted authors.
In the previous weeks we have done some calculations and "simulations" - which gave us a number of about 7/8 Steem per upvoted post that could be sent to authors without having impact on our work and financial expenses.
As we are still supporting amazing and already proven scientific community, @SteemSTEM, everyone who is curated by their team and voted by Curie Community Proxy with 65% or higher vote weight, will also be rewarded with 2 Steem.
All additional rewards will be sent in the form of staked steem (SP) and it might be susceptible to change depending on various factors.

Well, the trailing voters already got the boost with the new split, while it is the authors of the posts we vote that lost out on a portion of their author rewards. This is why our plan is to supplement how much they get out of a Curie vote on their posts using the new increased curator rewards we receive.
Right, but something else to consider - Curie's trail according to SteemAuto includes 2576 trailers. That is not counting all of those that trail the vote a different way. But if we are giving out 8 Steem to 2567 trailers it would be a minuscule amount of 0.00310 Steem per person. Even at the average rate of 80 posts voted by Curie in a week that is a total of just 0.248 Steem per vote trailer for the week. I doubt many would jump to trail the vote because of that with it being worth so little extra.
Of course that is just my opinion.
Why would they get 25% instead of 50%?
Even the first voter isn't likely getting 50% unless they timed their vote perfectly or the post did amazingly well.
