The most curious theme parks in the world.

Thinking about theme parks immediately refers us to Disneyland or amusements parks generally for children, innocent or just fun. But, the following are some unusual theme parks that surely you didn't know about.

BonBon Park

It's hard to understand why a danish businessman launch a theme park full of attractions, flirting with bad taste, just to promote his brand of candies. One can for example climb into the "farting dog" rollercoaster or contemplate multi-colored murals showing seagulls defecating into the mouth of crocodiles.

Grutas Park

It's not a theme park about caverns and archeology. It's just the name given by a rich Lithuanian to a park which dedicates its space to reminisce the former URSS in its most "communist" moment. The history of the most red Russia, with its Lenins, Stalins, Trotskys, in a decidedly "retro" environment. Food of the time served with the austerity typical of that time, statues and performances of a regime that passed away but apparently some people still yearn for. After all, taking a picture on the bust of a dictator it's always a source of pleasure either based on admiration or hatred.

Hacienda Nápoles (Naples estate)

There's no better way to spend a weekend with family visiting an amusement park dedicated to the drug lord of a Colombian cartel. And the experience could be even better if the park in question was located... in his own house! In effect, Pablo Escobar's house serves as a background for a park with its usual attractions but always under the influence and the memory of the drug stashes, the raids and midnight escapes through the back door. But to complete the picture, the plane that decorates the entrance to the park it's the same plane used by Pablo Escobar to smuggle drugs for the first time into the United States. No doubt this park is a delight for the senses.

Dollywood

Dolly Parton, the famous country singer, she once announced very excited that for her it's more important having an amusement park based on her musical figure than all the Grammy's she won in her career. Beyond the implications this could suggest as to her music, you can't tell me that having a theme park with all its attractions conveniently baptized with our name it's not fun. Yeah, Dolly has one, and it's the amusement park that sells more tickets throughout Tennessee. Dollywood has gone so well that she has decided to open another park (right next to the first one) also dedicated to the singer, but this one focuses on water attractions.

Amora

Let's start our tour in London where we'll find Amora, a theme park not allowed for minors since it's dedicated to sex. This theme park was inaugurated in 2007 and offers to the visitor a series of interactive exhibitions and sexual-related statues.

Mukluk Land

It's time to travel to Alaska where we'll find Mukluk Land, a them park built in 1985 along the Alaska highway. A visit to Mukluk Land will allow you to see strange collections and exclusive oddities of Alaska.

Holy Land Experience

In Orlando, United States you can visit the Holy Land Experience, a religious theme park which has as purpose to educate about Christianity so we can appreciate recreations of the torture and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, as well as appreciate religious objects and manuscripts.

Hokkaido Abashiri Prison

In Hokkaido, Japan we'll find the Abashiri Prison, a theme park based on a prison (it's actually a prison turned into a theme park). This ancient prison was famous for its hellish conditions. On our route through this park we can appreciate animated guards and inmates.

Tiger Balm Gardens

In Singapore you can visit the Tiger Balm Gardens, also known as Haw Par Villa Singapore, a theme park built in 1937 that takes us to a journey about the worst nightmares (of course, it's not recommended for minors). The park has strange and disturbing statues of the Ten Courts of Hell, so it's no wonder to see statues of people being crushed by rocks or drowning in ponds of blood.

Dwarf Empire

The Dwarf Empire is a theme park located at Yunnan, China where 100 little people live and work, entertaining tourists with songs and dance routines.
