What do most people know about Black Hole and how do most people see it?
Everytime I ask people what a Black Hole is, these are the common answers :
Black Hole is a space monster that devours everything
If our planet ever goes near a black hole, we will die
A black hole roams around from galaxies to galaxies devouring everything
But what is really a Black Hole? How is it formed? and what is its role in the Universe?
A Death of a Giant Star is the Birth of a Black Hole

According to Albert Einstein we are moving on the fabric of space and time. This fabric curves/bends on the presence of a massive object on top of it. This curve on the fabric of space time determines these things; Gravitational pull of the heavenly body and Time if you were to live on that massive object. The more curved the fabric is, the bigger the gravitational pull, the slower the time.

A star goes through a very interesting process throughout its lifetime (which I might talk about on a different post depending on how many people are interested hahaha) but let’s jump directly to the death of a star, specifically a death of a massive star. When a massive star dies it will create a massive explosion on space which we call a Supernova. In the explosion, a lot of the parts of the star will spread through space but will leave its core intact. The core of a massive star will be made up of Iron. This core will be as small as the size of Manhattan but as heavy as one and a half the mass of the Sun or even heavier. Imagine that mass and size squeezed into a small object, its density will be infinite. How much is it going to bend or curve the fabric of space time?

Yes you got it right, it is going to curve the space time so badly that it would actually look like there’s a “HOLE” on it and that’s how we get the black hole. Now remember that this bend/curve can determine two things; the gravitational pull and the time on that object. Given that the curve is extreme (this is an understatement) the gravitational pull of that object will be severe that it would devour almost everything within its reach (a fact about black whole which scares a lot of us). And the time on that object will be very slow or might even stop (no one have ever gone to a black hole anyway).

Aside from these beastly facts about the black hole, are there more of this beast that we have to know?
YES!!
Now do we really have to be scared of these beasts??
Black holes are definitely one of the most interesting and mysterious wonders in the Universe and we still know very little about it but do you know that all galaxies have a black hole at the center of it? Do you have any idea why this is so?

This is because the strong gravitational pull of the black hole is what keeps a galaxy together. The black hole actually gets these stars and heavenly bodies organized. They are even called "Galaxy Regulators". So without black holes galaxy wouldn’t exist and heavenly bodies would just scatter around universe clashing around each other. So a black hole and its beastly characteristic is actually what keeps the heavenly bodies organized, it is the birth of every galaxy that there is which is rather helpful than beastly ;) .
Aside from that fact, there are also a lot of speculations that the Big Bang might have been a consequence or something that was caused by a universal black hole. Well we don't know there are a lot of things to discover about these helpful beasts but I hope that the next time you hear about them, we don't scare the hell out of us but understand that it plays a vital role in the evolution of the Universe and the workings in it.

Hahahaha hala gibuhian na jud and DOLLAR Question rellll oh.. Serious pa kaayo kung naka basa sa comment ni @tegoshei ..ug sa dihang at the end...boom.. Sagutin mo yan @johnrel ... Hahahahaha
pang Curie jud ang question ni @tegoshei Creess hahahaaha pero lisud jud kaayu tubagun nganong gwapa mi.. mag Biology napud mi ani.. hahahah DNA napud hahahha
Uiie... I love reading about DNA and genetics... hihihi ^^ Lingaw pud na.. aww.. hahaha :P
Halaaa @iamwhatiamnot mag DNA replication jud ta ani baa hahaha mag genes genes jud ni run pud.. manggawas jud ang punnet squares ani hahaha...
hahahahaha.... xDD Punnet square!!! <3
imong favorite??? hahhahha
lol... not really, pero malingaw ko.. like if the mother has this and this chromosome and the father has so and so.. how many children will have blablabla.. exciting xa in a way... g-teach ko ni naq pag-practicum.. nalingaw ang mga bata... hihihi xDD
I have a lot of questions about black hole, so we should meet soon.. hahaha... xD btaw, since you've mentioned 2 concepts related to black holes which are time and gravitational pull. Is it possible to use the concept of black holes in time manipulation? dghaaaaaan kaayo ko'g questions Rel and I know, matubag ko nimu.. hahahaha xDDD pero ang pinakadako nga question.. nganong gwapa man ta?? hahaha :P
WOW naa kuy matry ug tubag @tegoshei .. Hahaha the possibility of what a black hole can do is limitless and it is still a very big mystery... Some even suggested that a black hole could be a portal to another Universe.. But one thing is for sure.. When you get inside a black hole you can never get out of it. Not even light can escape a black hole. I have read somewhere na what could it possibly feel like to get inside a black hole?... Just look around you..
We could actually be in a black hole, a place where we could never get back we just keep on falling and falling.. Going on to the future.. No way to get back to the past...
But there was soemthing raised pud because it is a known fact that light is the fastest traveling something. If you travel fast, time slows down (concept sa interstellar "time dilation" which is the reason na pagbalik sa papa bata pa gihapon sya but iya daughter is old na) if you travel at the speed of light time stops.. But what if you travel faster than light? Would you be able to reverse time? Waaaahhhh everything is still a big question mark.. Feel nako naa tuy time travel sa Physics of the impossible ni Michiu Kaku ako nia to churvahun basin naa napud kuy mapost hahaha..
Pero ang pangutana na pinakadaku na Question Mark is.. NGANONG GWAPA TAAA? HAHAHA in. Ana lang jyd na sya.. No answer.. Life is unfair lang jud... Hahahaha
Haveeeey kaayo ang answer sa pinaka-dako nga question....
Because of its mystery my mind formulated yet another question...The presumption that we could actually be in a black hole seems interesting. Can we say that the Universe itself is a huge black hole? Kay dba there are a lot of black holes all over... I haven't watched Interstellar but now I'm curious... time travel and parallel universe or the presence of another universe... huhuhuhu~ pabasaha nako anang Physics of the Impossible, please?? haha.. btaw... will be waiting for your posts regarding these stuff... <3 Thanks Rel!!!
YEs your questions are actually plausible @tegoshei it was said pud na it is possible na ang bigbang was a consequence chuchu of a universal Black hole.. like graveeeehhh ang question marks jud sa astronomy.. but very interesting :) heheheheh pero in fairness maayu kaau ka muprocess sa thoughts @tegoshei ... Maganda na matalino paaa... daghan nataaa hahahahhahaha sendan taka ug ebook sa physics of the impossible
mao bitaw friends ta @johnrel... ;) ganahan kaayo ko makat.on og astronomy pero based on my curiosity ra... dli classroom setting ky ma.boringan dayon ko... but really... thanks sa ebook... na.awaken akong mind tungod sa imung post... maraming thank you!
hahahaha.... dunno if naa ba tai mga same teachers ky I stayed sa CNU from 2007-2009 ra... hihihihi~ Yes, learning something that really interests you is pretty much different from learning because you have to. The latter is just plain boring... xD
I wonder what is it liked to be stuck in a black hole? Once I dreamt about one and it was horrible.
They say that it is possible that we are actually inside a universal balck hole... Hehehe
Omg! really? Then we are all doomed.
That is just a possibility that the scientist are considering my dear, but even if it is true it is not gonna change how we live it is just gonna clear up what universe we are moving in. Because when you get inside a black hole you can never get back you'll keep on falling and falling, just like us we keep moving towards the future without the ability of going back to the past. So when they ask what is it like inside a black hole, just look around you.
but we don't know if it is true , it would take a lot of studying my dear.
Nice theory. You know a lot of things^^
Ooh not really dear, it just happens to be something I am so interested in. I know you know a lot of things too especially on those things that you love :)
Oh, you're right. Thanks for your time^^
This is such a great post! Black holes are like the heart of a galaxy <3 I always think of understanding of the universe is similar to the worms understanding of the mountain. We are trying to observe something from within, which makes it so much harder, but this is definitely such a common misconception about black holes, I suppose we fear that which we do not understand.
I completely agree @calluna... We fear what we dont understand... Thank you so much for reading my post and for your comment
Thank you for participating in Curious Facts Contes #6
The way you’ve written and styled your post grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let me stop reading till the end. So interesting... Definitely I didn’t know these facts about the black holes. I felt I bit said that they are actually a giant dead stars. Thank you for this great entry.
Resteemd and Upvoted!
Aaweeee i am overwhelmed @river-island thankk yoouu for stopping by and commenting. I am happy that i have participated;)
Good luck and keep on steeming. 😊
Thaankk Yoouuu so mucchhhh <3
Black holes are really interesting and are the magic of physics.
Only thing that surprised me is that they are the ones who keep a Galaxy all together.
I've also read somewhere that blackholes are actually invisible.
Yesss @stefanoff I totally agree with you , they are very interesting and there are a lot to learn about them.
Well black holes gravitational pull are too strong that not even the speed of light cant escape. Once you get inside it, you can never get back. From that fact, we would know that black holes are by default invisible because it absorbs everything even light. When something goes inside a black hole it is essentially gone from our Universe. However some black holes are relatively massive compared to other black holes, specifically black holes that keep a galaxy together we call them super massive black holes, they wouldnt be able to create a galaxy if they arent that strong. It wouldn't be impossible to see these black holes, actually it is very easy because you would see a lot of stars spinning around it. In short, we might not be able to really see the black hole, it is indeed invisible but we know exactly how it affects its environment so we know the presence of a black hole in that region of space.
Also, a black hole can actually be thought like a sink or a drain and it is like trying to fit too much matter in a small hole and as all these matter get inside a super massive black hole not all would get in and as everything is trying to get inside it creates a tremendous energy and it causes the black hole to produce jets of energy let's just say as the black hole is feasting it burps. and this jets of energy would literally make these super massive black holes lit up. This is why super massive black holes cant be invisible regular black holes can be. However black holes fast more than thy feast, and currently the super massive black hole in our galaxy is fasting right now it's currently on a diet hahhaha. :)

hahahaah, God knows what will happen when it gets hungry again :D
And another question - how can a black hole disappear or can it actually "die"?
A black hole will not die on his own @stefanoff it will not just disappear from space. But there is one that we call Galactic cannibalism one galaxy eating other galaxies. The bigger black hole of a bigger galaxy will eat the smaller black hole of that other galaxy. Our own Milky Way evolved that way it started as a small galaxy and evolved over time through galactic cannibalism.
And FYI our Milky Way Galaxy is attracted with its nearest neighboring galaxy Andromeda and someday the two galaxies will eat each other.
We will either witness that eventfull process or we will be flung away through space because during a galactic cannibalism a galaxy deforms while merging with the other galaxy.
But no worries it is scheduled to happen billions of years from now. So you dont have to mark your calendar yet. Hahaha
