Dear @DtubeDaily on @Dtube #92 // man lost 85% on $150k loan on alt coins — he was chasing gains not chasing the future of the technology.

Sorry bro.. .

But I’m kinda mad at ya, sad for ya, but also you saved a bunch of people making the same mistakes. ..

if you had access to that level of money and you made that decision then that’s on you (or maybe you were not educated to the impact that would have on your life) that’s something you have to live with, hopefully you have the means and ability to dig yourself out of making such a big play — I’m sure in doing so you have bought woe on people around at the same time out of a poor decision, again, on you..

I guess there are winners and losers always, that’s life, you spin the wheel of life and take your bets, some pay off and some are opportunities lost, you walk away deflated hopefully to come back and fight again another day, that’s how we learn in some ways — not expecting a volatile, cutting edge, always changing, open to attack, unregulated and decentralised would not be my first move to invest money — what happened to. ..

DO NOT INVEST MONEY THAT YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO LOSE

Maybe he was ok with it, maybe he wanted to just have that ‘reddit’ post that he knew for the first time ever he would actually get comments back on, maybe now he will form a self help group with the other people that were reckless — but then on the flip side of the coin, people like him buying in volume to say I want in on this crypto market, I mean that’s valid too right, I guess the game here is exposure and damage limitation — NEVER EVER take a LOAN of anything to HOPE on an OUTCOME, that shit will always come back and kick you in the backside.

Let’s cleanse ourselves of the hype, let’s put together a more fluid, well thought out, information rich tapestry of information for all ages at all levels and experience, let’s go deep on what is value anyway, let’s talk about sustainability, let’s paint the picture of the way that this could be demonstrated to improve the lives of people globally around the world.

let’s suggest ways to improve the image of cryptos, let’s consider ways to remove the criminal image of these new platforms — it’s up to us, if we really want to have a world that has crypto currency in the bedrock of the way we provide and pay for services globally we need to prove these technologies way past the earworm trend of the moment.

And it’s not gonna be easy, nothing ever was, especially when you have entrenched backwards thinking men in grey suits fighting tool and nail over the power of bad decisions over bad decisions at the expense of your life over the maintenance of their own — we need a human implosion of reality checks before the reality cheques bounce all the way down to the very mantal of planet earth, it’s change or be left behind time.

@teamhumble Thankful to you for sharing and upvoted

It's because of greed, it's in human nature. I think there is no other way how to explain it.

I have experienced that it is difficult get people download the wallet and get some cryptocurrency for free (especially in developed countries), almost like if you get small amount for free then it feels like it is not worth the time for them. I been telling people that they don't have to invest any fiat currency to get started because it is not like stocks where you need to invest certain amount to cover the costs.

Sometimes, I get asked: "Which should I buy and how much?" and I see that they haven't figured out the differences, so I recommend them some safer ones in TOP 10 and tell them to start with $100. Next thing you know, they have invested half of their savings into one coin and well into thousands of dollars. And I am left puzzled: "Why did they even ask for opinion if they had made up their mind already?".

Stories about how some people made 100x doesn't help either, because FOMO hits hardest during the bull-run and then people get frustrated that their coin hasn't done 100x after 6 months. I have even heard stories about people who gave up during bear-market, got back in during bull-run and then sold again when it crashed. My only hope is that next generation grows up with cryptocurrencies, so they will know the basics already when going to school (blockchain is now like Internet was in mid 90s). Maybe some day, "Hello World" is not the first code they write, instead they start making their own crypto-collectible https://cryptozombies.io/en/course/
