What is darkness and does it relate to the common man on the street. Almost everyone in the world today has associated darkness with bad things and associated light with something good. But most times it does not work that way.
Even In religious terms today... People associate darkness with sin, evil doings, sickness, e.t.c. even the Bible has made us understand that darkness is something that a true believer of Christ has to do without, cause as true followers of Christ, we should only be associated with light.
But one of the most important thing we most understand as humans is that, without darkness light would have no value, light would be just a word, that has no existing meaning and no way to make value out of it. And with this you would understand and as see that, as much as the world and even the Bible condemn darkness, it is still important in the context, because without drakness light can not be appreciate.
When the world was created in the biblical term, in Genesis 1, it was stated that the world was without form and void and was full of darkness and God created light, separating the light from the darkness. This is to make you understand, that even in the beginning of the world in biblical terms there was darkness and God separated the light from darkness.
Most times in other for you to learn to deal with light, you have to learn to walk in darkness, because that's the only way you could appreciate light.
Most people in the world can't sleep when a bulb is on in the room, and using my own self as an example. When it's time for bed, a bright room would keep me awake till the next morning, this is because, I am used to finding relaxation and peace that could help me sleep in the dark. I have been brought up to understand that, in as much as light is important, darkness also have it's role to play and must be played very well. Cause without darkness most people find it difficult going to sleep and even doing somethings which they required the peace of the night and silence the night brings.
Furthermore, if you have mastered the act of the dark and also mastered the act of light, you could work with both, cause both has it significant. But to understand this very clearly, biblical terms and the terms outside biblical understanding, must be considered, as so not to get it twisted.
Biblical terms stand with the fact that light is associated with evil Forces, while outside biblical term, darkness has it own merit, that actually help people realise their daily routine and whatever objective they try to attain from the dark, and with the dark they seem to appreciate more about the light.
Finally, whatever the reason maybe. I put it to you that, everything that existed before man and still existing today, has it merit and demerit, depending on the aspect you're viewing it from. And darkness is not left out, as it serves it purpose in the world.

1 Kings 8:12, Alot of people didnt know this, but God dwells in darkness, Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
The problem is people like Freemasonry perverted the idea of dark and light, so what ever the world says, I would try and do the opposite.
