First stumbled upon this Thai eatery was when it is still located at Bangsar that served nice tom yum noodles and some other authentic Thai street foods. I had their tom yum noodles once although I myself do not fancy tom yum that much, it is very different from other tom yum I had and I quite like it. The soup based are a bit more sour-ish with just the right amount of tom yum spiciness, it just right to tingling your taste buds to go for much till you actually will finish the whole bowl of soup.
After operated for some time, they decided to relocate to 1 Utama. Located at the same floor with Popular and Tealive, at the end of the old wing that connected to 1 Avenue.
At first impression, what is changed is their table and chairs. Previous only modern table with modern metal chair. Now they replace it with wooden chairs wooden tables that mimic the looks of Thai street food restaurant.
In Ngam, it does not served any pork dishes. So our Muslim friends can actually go and try, you will love their tom yum noodles.
Me and my friends went to Ngam after our Black Panther movie, as my friends have never been to Ngam.
When visiting a Thai restaurant/cafe, the first thing I will order is their milk tea. It taste different from our own milk tea, it's much more creamier and not so sweet. It is not the best I have tasted but it is till a good cup of milk tea.
Thai Basil with Minced Beef and Fried Egg Rice. An alternative version of Thai basil with minced pork and fried egg. Although the meat is changed but the taste is as good as pork version. They served minced chicken too if you cannot take beef.
Chicken Pad Thai. Presentation not that good and kinda amiss of the taste of Pad Thai. You might want to opt for the real Pad Thai.
Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice. the most presentable dish. LOL I didn't try this so I don't know how it taste. From the looks of it, it has a prawn and few squids pieces. you might want to go for the tom yum noodles.
Overall, it is still the same Ngam from Bangsar. Price wise, it is slight increase from Bangsar given it is located in a mall.
Do go check them out and have a taste yourself as your taste buds is very much different from mine.
