[Visualization Monday] Leaked information/Insider trading at Kodak.
On Monday, 27th July, information about Kodak was leaked on Tweeter. During the next 30 minutes, about 800k USD was invested in the stock.
Later, someone on Reddit posted about it, probably moving the stock even higher, with 500k USD invested in about 30 minutes after the post.
The price was 22% higher that day.
However, that is nothing compared to what happened next and is visible on the following graph.
The stock price increased almost 400% BEFORE the official announcement that the USA government would loan $765M to Kodak to manufacture drug ingredients.
Kodak's price rose massively, yesterday it was at 442% YTD.
I know it's Tuesday, but it's something I do every Monday ;)
