What's buzzing, friends?
There are a lot of roads in the world. Some are short, and some are long. Some are easy to travel on, and some are hard. Some are straight, and some are curved. But no matter what road it is, it can take you to places you've never been.
We believe we can drive to almost any place, as long as we have the right car and the right map. We're not afraid to take on the open road, and we're always up for a new adventure. Whether it's a cross-country road trip or a weekend getaway, we're ready to hit the road.
However, if you were trying to drive from North America to South America, you would hit a snag when you get to the Darién Gap.
The Darién Gap connects North America with South America just above Colombia. In this area, it was and is very hard to build roads. Several efforts were attempted in 1970 and 1992; however, due to the nature of the landscape, mountains, and more, this section of land remains free of roads.
Many migrants do cross the Darién Gap under great peril. They do so by climbing the mountain ranges and then traveling through the more extensive wetlands.
So it seems, in this world of interconnectivity, there are plenty of times when we can't just drive wherever we want. Sometimes, we have to take public transportation, walk, or even just stay home. It can be a pain, but it's not the end of the world. We can still have fun even if we can't drive everywhere we want, right?
