Hello. We're trying to get debating on the condenser to work. We have a setup:
-> Each tournament will have 16 teams taking part. Teams need to publish 2 speeches.
-> Tournaments will run British Parliamentary format, with written speeches (in the form of posts) to be submitted online under #bpdebate, and mentioning @missioncontrol.
-> The top 4 teams will be paid out 75% of the profits (this includes profits from the announcements of each each round) generated. 25% will go to the judges (these have to be approved by me).
-> In the first round, teams will be randomly assigned against each other. In the second round all the teams coming 1st will be put against each other, all the teams coming second against all the teams coming second (etc.) In the 3rd and 4th round all previous ranks will be taken into account.
-> Substitute teams would be good, in case a team chickens out.
-> There will be four rounds.
We have motions:
1) This house would legalise euthanasia (assisted suicide). Please imagine a country where it is not legal.
2) This house would legalise all illegal drugs. Please imagine a country where it is not legal.
3) This house would censor steemit. It is up to the opening team to describe how they would do this.
4) This motion is yet to be decided.
