My kid - now adult is in their first year of university and I can confirm, its costly. On the plus side she decided to stay on campus and opted for a shared room. She luckily didn't end up with any roommate so she got a decent size room to herself. I do wonder if the private rooms are smaller. I noticed when visiting her the same was true for many others. My mind instantly went to the thought process of -- it must suck to be one of the students that shelled out extra for a private room when most those who opted for shared room got a private one anyways.
