fucking joke. Here our starting debt is a lot less, and it's just indexed to inflation I think, you don't get charged interest. I paid off my arts/teaching degree abut 15 years ago - just came out of my wage, so it wasn't that bad though it was a relief when it was over. Plus you have to reach a threshhold to pay it at all. Still it's a big sting.
